Meet Ogoorithe innovative Norwegian brand dedicated to tackling the big questions around ocean plastics: how to efficiently collect ocean wasteadvocate for eco-friendly manufacturingand promote a circular economy. Named after Oguri Jukichithe Japanese fisherman lost at sea for 484 daysOogori helps collect what was once lost adrift at sea and give it a new purpose. Ogoori makes it easier for businesses to contribute to ocean cleanup and measure their impactwhile transforming ocean waste into premiumsustainable productsmade with traceable recycled ocean plastic. The concept for the visual identity focuses on one strong message: capturing and containing ocean plastics. Pulling inspiration from plastics shards and microplastics often found amongst the sandsthese plastic forms become a visual narrative for Ogoori’s missionservices and products. The identity’s true workhorse is the custom display type. The custom font literally visualizes Ogoori’s core mission to capture and contain ocean plastics—including a series of custom glyphseach containing a plastic shardthat vary in shape and form through contextual alternates. In additionthese same forms are used as graphic devices in animations and illustrations to help communicate Ogoori’s mission and core products. Ogoori Nature allows businesses to make and measure their positive impact through beach cleanup while Ogoori Loops then turns this ocean plastic into traceable quality material.
